For the first time in years, residents did not have to vote for the school district budget in the 2024 election. This is because taxes and spending were reduced below the thresholds required for a vote. This is a great example of the Board of Education committing to advocacy for the residents while supporting our children's academic goals. If re-elected, me and my colleagues who helped ensure this outcome will continue to fight for the people's interests.

We have approved construction/improvement projects that have improved the lives of students. We have observed responsible procurement methods that have saved residents money on these important developments. These projects include things such as:

-Weight areas.

-Gyms and related improvements.

-A brand new state-of-the-art gym lobby at the high school.

-HVAC systems across the district.

-Office overhauls

-ceiling/roofs

-etc.

For decades, Cliffside Park has had a closed-lunch policy. With various scheduling practices that have been implemented in the past few years, there was a vote to allow seniors to partake in an open-lunch program that would be reviewed. I was a critical voter in favor of allowing this to happen. After reviewing the program the following year, this privilege was extended to juniors as well. This has put a helpful, revokable tool in the hands of administrators to encourage polite behavior while also giving our students more options.

The Board of Education has had dozens of meetings in my first term. Members of the public always have the opportunity to come to the public meetings in order to share their concerns, questions, or praise with the Board of Education. My attendance rate for these meetings is 100% for my first term, because the residents are my top priority.
